Sustainability is a big issue in the fashion industry, one of which I had a prior interest in. With the fashion industry being the second biggest polluter in the world, this project allowed us the opportunity to focus how as a designer, we can produce garments which are responsibly designed for longevity, whilst considering our end user. Opposed to sourcing new fabrics for the final product, instead using existing materials from the Emmanuel House charity shop.
